Starforging Ironsworn
Legacy Iron is a Starforged asset deck that compiles asset cards from the original Ironsworn game that didn’t receive a conceptual update in Starforged or Sundered Isles. This conversion was guided by the following principles:
- Avoid duplication: Cards already covered in the Starforged or Sundered Isles asset decks were not converted. If an asset was omitted, its concept is already represented in those decks.
- Adapt the assets to Starforged mechanics: Starforged offers a richer array of moves, mechanics, and bonus types for assets. This conversion ensures the deck remains as diverse and mechanically dense as those in Starforged and Sundered Isles.
Represent rituals as paths: Supernatural-focused assets are represented as paths in Starforged. This conversion follows that design philosophy. - Reimagine assets for the setting: Some original cards imply a magical setting. Where possible, these assets have been reimagined with science fiction equivalents, allowing you to use the deck seamlessly in either hard sci-fi or fantasy campaigns.
- Maintain balance and system economy: When the above principles didn’t apply or conflicted, adjustments were made to maintain balance consistent with the Starforged system’s economy.
With the flexibility to suit both science fiction and fantasy tones, this deck offers countless opportunities to deepen your journey and bring fresh excitement to your Ironsworn: Starforged or Sundered Isles campaigns.
Whether your story takes place in distant star systems, mysterious ruins, or shadowed fantasy realms, let these cards inspire new stories, challenges, and companions that fit seamlessly into your chosen setting.

Hi, I noticed that Anomalist (sci-fi version of ward) seems to be missing, and part of the text in the Warder asset refers to the ward as an anomaly, which I assume is a mistake.
Thank you for your work and putting those out for free ! Any chance of having a version with the back of the card more self print friendly ?
These look great. I would love to see you convert Vaults & Vows into Starforged rules as well for a Spelljammer vibe.
Yes!
A sci-fi Vaults & Vows has been in our drafts for a while. It's something we've been wanting to do. Thanks for showing interest!
👍
These look great!
Two things I noticed.
1 - Under the Companions reference of the Asset Correlations you have Kindred converting to Kindred in Starforged Asset. Do you mean Sidekick?
2 - In the Asset Correlations you point our which paths were covered to a Deed in Starforged/SI, but under your entry for Masked, you don't reference the [Fantasy] version as a Deed. Not sure if that was intentional given it's the only Deed in your deck?
I can't wait to get this deck to the table and play with some new characters! :)
(Ps...I had a little chuckle at "nature calls" as you dance for the Binder. Nothing like needing to rush off to the bathroom when nature is calling during a dance...Endure Stress. LOL)
We immediately made an update primarily to patch the chuckle-inducing bit. The rest was also addressed.
I rofled all the way, hoping to go unnoticed.
Hilarious! Thanks for the speedy updates. I'll be putting my print order in on DTRPG too :)
